Intermediate Rooms
Our intermediate rooms are bright and inviting, filled with everything 2-3 year old children need for their growing individuality and natural curiosity.
Children are encouraged to make their own decisions, as they continue learning about who they are, their environment and the world we live in.
Lots of fun will be had engaging in a mixture of adult and child led activities, independent play, messy activities, imaginary play, circle time and outdoor play; all incorporating the 7 areas of the EYFS.
Daily Routines
Snooze Times
Most children have a sleep after their lunchtime meal, but for those that remain awake, there is a variety of quieter resources and activities to participate in.
Mealtimes
Self-service is introduced to the children, where safe to do so. Children will be encouraged to use a knife and fork and will also use open-top cups at mealtimes.
Parents as Partners
Parents will be given a verbal hand over when they arrive to pick up their child. Staff will talk about activities the children have enjoyed, how they have eaten and if they have rested during the day. Importantly, if new skills / learning have been achieved during the day.
Intermediate Rooms Gallery
Our excellent nursery staff will support the children’s growing language and social skills encouraging conversation, positive behaviour, sharing, turn taking and table manners.
Each room has its own bathroom where the children are encouraged to be independent as we support them with toilet training, hand washing and good hygiene routines.
We incorporate the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) into our daily programme and there our defined learning areas are filled with age appropriate resources. These include emergent writing, mathematics, reading, information technology, role play, construction, small world, discovery, sand, water and many more.
Our Nursery
Our nursery is set within two acres of grounds, which include private car parking for parents and visitors. We have three main nursery buildings and an extensive outdoor play area consisting of several spacious, well-resourced hard-surface playgrounds, as well as a large lawned area.
Inside, we offer a number of age-appropriate, spacious rooms that are filled with natural light.
