Pre School
The children join our pre-school room for their last academic year prior to starting reception. It is, therefore, our intention to prepare all of our children for a smooth transition into all of our local schools.
The room is designed to deliver a welcoming, stimulating and fun environment for children to communicate, learn and develop in. We encourage them to co-operate with one another, make friends, share and take turns and also ensure there are ample activities and resources that promote all areas of the curriculum.
Throughout your child’s time in pre-school, our staff will support children’s learning and development as well as preparing them for reception in a range of ways, including promoting self-confidence, supporting self-esteem, enhancing communication and listening skills, managing their personal care, helping them to make healthy choices at mealtimes and teaching them to be caring and helpful citizens.

The children will experience a slightly more structured environment with a mixture of child led play and the introduction of focus learning times. By combining knowledge based activities with interest led exploration, we ensure that children leave our Pre School as confident, curious and resilient learners.
Curriculum
Children continue their educational journey in support of a smooth transition into school. Self confidence, independence and self care skills are nurtured through a child led environment, whilst structured activities provide extra focus on phonics and literacy along with early reading and writing skills.
Parents as Partners
We aim to work in partnership with parents to ensure we can maximise developmental opportunities and ensure that the individual needs of your child are met at all times. We also encourage parents to share with us ‘wow moments’ that their child has achieved at home, so that these can be celebrated within the nursery group.
Our Nursery
Our nursery is set within two acres of grounds, which include private car parking for parents and visitors. We have three main nursery buildings and an extensive outdoor play area consisting of several spacious, well-resourced hard-surface playgrounds, as well as a large lawned area.
Inside, we offer a number of age-appropriate, spacious rooms that are filled with natural light.
